The Department of Human Resources (DHR) encourages all employees to heighten health awareness, enhance preventive health strategies, and decrease absenteeism from work.

That’s why we’ve established the City of Atlanta Wellness Center, which is made up of the Health Center and Fitness Center across from City Hall, as well as other Fitness Centers in various locations across the City. The purpose of the COA Wellness Center is to provide active employees with one-stop fitness, medical, pharmacy, and psychological/EAP services in a state-of-the-art facility.

Our hope is that by using the activities, services and programs offered through the COA Wellness Center, our employees can reduce the incidence and severity of costly chronic diseases and improve their quality of life.

Who Can Use the Wellness Center

All City of Atlanta employees who are actively at work (active employees) are eligible to use the Wellness Center.

The following individuals are not eligible at this time:

Retirees

Spouses of employees

Dependents of employees

Temporary and contract workers

Part-time employees
